Acceptable Use Policy

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the prohibited uses of the Modelane platform (the "Service") provided by XNODEHUB ENTERPRISES PTE. LTD. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

We designed this policy to align with the usage policies of our upstream model providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. Compliance with this AUP is a condition of using the Service.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service for any of the following purposes:

Illegal Activity

Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, and trafficking.

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Generating, distributing, or facilitating any content that constitutes or depicts child sexual abuse material. Any suspected CSAM will be reported to the relevant authorities immediately.

Weapons Development

Developing or improving chemical, biological, nuclear, or radiological weapons, explosive devices, or cyber weapons. This includes generating instructions, specifications, or technical guidance for weapons creation.

Critical Infrastructure

Attacking, disrupting, or sabotaging critical infrastructure systems, including energy grids, water systems, transportation networks, financial systems, or telecommunications infrastructure.

Fraud and Deception

Conducting scams, phishing, social engineering, or generating fraudulent content intended to deceive individuals or organizations. Creating fake identities or impersonating real individuals or organizations.

Election Manipulation and Political Disinformation

Generating misleading content intended to influence elections, referenda, or other democratic processes. Creating synthetic media (including text, audio, or video) designed to spread political disinformation.

Non-Consensual Imagery

Generating intimate, explicit, or defamatory images of real individuals without their consent, including deepfakes and synthetic media that depicts real people in false or compromising scenarios.

Hate Speech and Harassment

Generating content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Targeted harassment, bullying, or threats against individuals.

Unauthorized Professional Advice

Providing medical, legal, or financial advice without appropriate human oversight and professional qualifications. High-risk use cases in healthcare, law, and finance must include clear disclaimers and human review processes.

Privacy Violations

Using the Service to infringe on individuals' privacy rights, including unauthorized collection or processing of personal data, facial recognition for surveillance purposes, or tracking individuals without their knowledge or consent.

Reverse Engineering and Unauthorized Access

Scraping, crawling, or reverse-engineering the Service or its underlying systems. Using the Service's outputs to train, distill, or build competing machine learning models.

Unauthorized Redistribution

Building services on top of Modelane that provide unauthorized programmatic access to the underlying model providers, or that redistribute API access in violation of upstream provider terms.

Upstream Provider Policies

In addition to the prohibitions listed above, your use of the Service must comply with the acceptable use policies and terms of service of the upstream model providers accessed through your requests. Content that is rejected by an upstream provider's safety systems will not be rerouted to a different provider.

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice and without refund. We reserve the right to report violations to the appropriate law enforcement authorities where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of individuals or the public.

We may investigate suspected violations using automated systems and manual review. We cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the investigation of suspected illegal activity.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to security@modelane.ai.

Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, upstream provider policies, or applicable laws. We will notify customers of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date above.
